I like the first panel. It's my own little joke about how claustrophobic the comic had been. Emily showed up in part to force the characters outside of the theatre and remind folks about the outside world.

This was the initial impetus behind her, the old friend returning after a long time and not understanding how Kimberly had changed. This got developed more as things went on. I still like the joke, though.

This scene became relevant in You Say it First, partly because this brief moment of contact wasn't fully developed in Unlike Minerva.

Brisbane also went to HNU. You'd think that he'd know what the ring looked like. The light was dim, though.
