Here, folks, is Isabel Gonzalez's first appearance as an artist of Unlike Minerva. Remember that name. It will come up again.
My folks got me a book on spycraft when I was younger. It had a lot of details about disguises and following people and codes and making sure you're not followed. It had very little about what you're actually supposed to do with any of that stuff. This arc is inspired by memories of that book. The rules are all my own. The arc is, more importantly, inspired by not knowing what to do with any of that stuff.
Brisbane ought to know that Caleb would be mostly useless in any conspiracy. If it doesn't involve him or performing, he hasn't the attention for it. If I recall correctly, Isabel and Grosse both drew versions of this comic. I put his up because I got it first and it was lettered. Unfortunately, I didn't tell her that and she kept working on it into the night. That's probably neither the first nor last time I did that. I really ought to have treated my artists better.
Eventually, I learned how to shade properly. I still like that line - "Like a hood, gangser, or hat thief".
"Can't help it. Nosy." Spycraft pt 2
