Why are there frequent recaps? Because the comic was proceeding very slowly. I think three comics a week, on a good week. It was complex and there were a lot of side-stories. Why is it done with by re-using art? Because Isabel had already recapped it once and wasn't about to draw the same scenes a third time.

I found this in my notes for the shower scene: "He wasn't wearing his glasses, she thinks that he couldn't really see her because of that. It turns out that his glasses are just for reading." That's just how some things don't materialize.
