As I reread this, it reminds me how difficult the ending was to write. I've mentioned that a lot, because when I wrote it, it weighed on me. And the commentary is a bit harsher on this part than the rest of it. A lot of the comics go in other directions, so I could avoid that weight but keep my update schedule.
I expect that readers' experience with the comic is very different from mine, since they don't have the difficulty. I've mentioned that I was working sixty hour weeks in a call center is not good for writing or, in fact, concentrating on anything. I think the only time I had quiet was the few hours in the morning between when Isabel went to work and when I had to go to work.
If the characters mention they're having trouble concentrating, that's a sign that I was having trouble writing.
You're probably wondering where "two weeks ago" is in the overall plot. I'm going to say that it's about when Emily showed up, since she's been the catalyst for this.
