It was Isabel's idea to use the mostly unshaded chibi figures for the flashback. It works. In part, it's because she didn't want to have to redraw the same scenes yet again. I believe she threatened to use stick figures but relented and drew these.
So, yes. As the conflict is shown from Kimberly's point of view, it is redefined, which is why I didn't go with my original notes (see 6 weeks ago).
"Things didn't come together" is a wonderful phrase. It says a lot without specifying anything. Anyhow, I'm not sure if I believe the timeline here. That would mean that Brisbane got back to the Minerva Theatre around 10:30 and Nina showed up about half an hour later. She's the type to show up in the evening.
Again, I was working very long days on very little sleep when I was writing this, so I completely sympathize with Kimberly.
I'm sure this was inspired by a conversation between Isabel and I, about whether Sofia had ever seen the show. Again, to fill space.
