Some days, I think Peter was the only one who saw "Peter & Brisbane's Musical Fun-time Show".

I love the job Isabel did with their expressions in every one of the panels. She captures the hope and disappointment, the slight smiles and the wistfulness.

It's a punchline! I find the transition between drama and humor to be more amusing than pure humor.

What I was trying to imply in the second panel was that Kimberly paid for it before Brisbane could, so that it wouldn't be him taking her out on a date. Then it would subvert your expectations in panel 3, showing that she had only left the tip. It didn't quite come across.

If I had done this comic back in the early days, I would've worked out when they left, how long it took, and when bus service ended. I'm going to assume that they (a) caught the last bus out and (b) were in the restaurant for a long time.
