This is a fairly standard interrogation technique. Tell someone that their co-consipirator has talked, but we want to get your side of the story.
Emily's reasoning is that Kimberly got along with her just fine in high school. Now things have changed, and Brisbane is her best bet for the culprit. That, and he seems to make Kimberly miserable here.
The line "Name Three" is from Firesign Theatre's "Don't Crush that Dwarf, Hand me the Pliers".
I love this comic. Why? Because it got things going in the right direction again. One of the reasons for the delays and filler is that the first few drafts had Brisbane and Kimberly not getting together. He stayed in his vaudeville basement, and she in her apartment. This lets Brisbane reverse the blow on Emily and it gets thing back in the proper direction.
Brisbane and Emily used to get along, too. This seems to have set her characterization for You Say it First more than her clingy insistance that she was Kimberly's friend.
